Description Use Your Customer Service Skills to Start or Grow Your Career with Animals! Pet's Favorite has a veterinary clinic looking for an upbeat and sunshiney team player to help us take care of pets and their people.
The ideal candidate will have veterinary clinic experience but it is not required.
A tech-savvy and process-oriented individual can get up to speed on the receptionist duties quickly.
We are a Fear Free Certified practice and will help train the new team member in Fear Free animal care techniques.
The veterinary and pet care sectors of our economy are booming.
Our plan is to grow Pet's Favorite bigger and bigger to serve as many pets and people as possible.
This is a place for a career and growth.
Some people will work here as a stepping stone, some as a testing ground for a career in animal health, and we hope most will want to work with Pet's Favorite long into the future.
We care about your life outside of work, too.
There are no after-hours duties, for anyone, but there is the potential for work-from-home hours in the future as the clinic grows.
However, this position is on-site for the foreseeable future.
Responsibilities include:
Ensuring all patients are safe and have their needs met during their visit to Pet's Favorite Vet Providing a pleasant and frictionless experience for clients bringing pets in, including directing use of technology for check in, records retrieval, appointment scheduling, etc.
Document all care provided in electronic records system.
Educate clients on payment options.
Collect payments.
Field phone calls, text messages, and e-mails to the practice, triaging those that need the Pet Care Coordinator or Veterinarian's attention.
About You:
Most Important:
Loves people AND animals High School Diploma or equivalent Comfortable using computers and web-based applications Preferred:
Previous veterinary experience Preferred:
Fear Free certification Able to work in close quarters with dogs and cats.
Able to wear a face mask (provided) over nose and mouth for several hours at a time.
Positive, can-do attitude and problem-solving ability.
Comfortable giving and receiving constructive criticism Do not apply if:
You want to work at a pet business because you don't like people.
We love the people and their pets here.
You don't like cats.
Or small dogs.
Or dogs that jump.
We love ALL the pets we see! Salary $12 - $16 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
